SAIB has announced its sponsorship of the match between Al Ahly and Uganda's Kitara, scheduled for today, Sunday, at Cairo International Stadium. The sponsorship reflects the bank's commitment to supporting sports and youth activities and extends SAIB's record of backing Egyptian sport. The bank has previously sponsored the Egyptian Premier League, the Al Ahly and Zamalek football teams, and the Egyptian Super Cup match between the two clubs in the United Arab Emirates, and has also helped fund Al Ahly club membership subscriptions.
The sponsorship also reflects SAIB's drive to keep supporting the sports sector and to broaden its involvement in sporting activities and events, strengthening its role in the community and helping to support young people, encourage them to play sport and excel across a range of disciplines.
The bank said it pays particular attention to sport as one of the key fields for human development and for building young people's abilities. SAIB supports a number of athletes across various sports, including padel and squash, through its "saib Super Athlete" programme, which aims to provide the resources players need to raise their level and achieve further success.
SAIB is expanding its support for sporting activities to include football academies and other initiatives that encourage all segments of society, especially young people, to take up sport. It also helps discover and nurture sporting talent and supports Egyptian champions, improving Egypt's chances of being represented with distinction at local and international sporting events.
