QNB Group (Q.P.S.C.) has announced the successful completion of its second Qatari riyal-denominated Shogun bond issue, raising QAR 750 million from a diverse base of Japanese investors.

The 3-year issue is the largest Qatari riyal-denominated Shogun bond issue to date.

In a statement published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today, the group said this second issue follows QNB's inaugural Qatari riyal-denominated Shogun bond issue in the first quarter of 2025, describing it as a further important step in its strategy to diversify funding sources and broaden its access to the Japanese investor market.

QNB said it had mandated Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) to arrange the issue.
