National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has achieved notable growth in its net profit over the past three years, which rose to EGP 175.489 billion at the end of 2025 from EGP 34.650 billion at the end of 2022, a growth rate of 406.5% and an increase of EGP 140.839 billion, according to the bank's financial statements.

This performance reflects a steady rise in the bank's profits over the period analysed. Net profit rose to EGP 70.686 billion at the end of 2023, compared with about EGP 34.650 billion at the end of 2022, annual growth of 104%, meaning profits doubled in a single year.

The bank continued to post strong growth in 2024, with net profit jumping to EGP 133.268 billion from EGP 70.686 billion at the end of 2023, an increase of EGP 62.582 billion and annual growth of 88.5%, further strengthening its profit base.

In 2025, NBE's net profit rose to EGP 175.489 billion from EGP 133.268 billion at the end of 2024, an increase of EGP 42.221 billion and annual growth of 31.7%. Although growth slowed compared with the previous two years, the bank continued to increase its profits in absolute terms, reaching their highest level across the four years compared.

These figures reflect NBE's success in strengthening its earning power: net profit rose from EGP 34.650 billion at the end of 2022 to EGP 175.489 billion at the end of 2025, roughly 4 times over three years, driven by continued annual profit growth. The results confirm the bank's strong financial performance, its ability to expand its profit base and its established position in the Egyptian banking sector.
