SAIB offers Islamic Al-Mann certificates to individual customers. The certificates comply with Sharia principles, are approved by the bank's Fatwa and Sharia Supervisory Board, and are available for tenors of up to 3 years, with a choice of investing in Egyptian pounds or US dollars.

First: Al-Mann certificate in Egyptian pounds

  • Tenor: 3 years.

  • Minimum purchase: EGP 1,000 and multiples thereof.

  • Expected annual profit rate:

    • 16.50% paid monthly.

    • 16.75% paid semi-annually.

Features:

  • Profit type: floating, paid on account pending final settlement at the end of the financial year.

  • Profit determination: based on the profitability of the bank's Islamic transactions.

  • Profit accrual starts: on the business day after the certificate is booked.

  • Eligibility: individual customers.

Second: Al-Mann certificate in US dollars

Tenor: 3 years. Minimum purchase: USD 500, in multiples of USD 100. Payout frequency: monthly.

Features:

  • Profit determination: based on the profitability of the bank's Islamic transactions.

  • Profit accrual starts: on the business day after the certificate is booked.

  • Tax treatment: the certificate's returns are exempt from all types of taxes, according to information published by the bank.

  • Profit type: annual and floating, paid on account pending final settlement at the end of the financial year.

  • Eligibility: individual customers.
