The Central Bank of Bahrain decided today, Wednesday 28 October 2026, to keep its key deposit and lending interest rates unchanged, following the US Federal Reserve's decision issued this evening, in order to maintain monetary and financial stability in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Central Bank of Bahrain announced that it was holding the overnight deposit rate at 4.50%, the level it reached in September after a move of a quarter of a percentage point, in a step aimed at maintaining monetary and financial stability in the Kingdom.

The central bank said the decision reflects its continuous monitoring of developments in global financial markets and its assessment of the economic variables affecting the monetary environment, in support of the stability of the domestic financial system.
