The CIB Egypt Foundation signed a partnership agreement with the Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation for Charitable Medical Work on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, to support the fifth round of the children's medical convoys project "Our Children, Our Future". The project falls under the "Le Masr Initiative" (For Egypt), the first national programme launched by the foundation to provide comprehensive healthcare services to Egypt's neediest children.

The agreement continues the cooperation between the two foundations that began in 2019, in line with their shared vision of supporting the health of children and families most in need, improving their access to basic and specialised medical services, and ensuring continuity of care and health follow-up in the target governorates.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Nadia Hosny, Secretary-General of the foundation's Board of Trustees; Ms. Mona Hosny, Director of the CIB Egypt Foundation; Ms. Irini Safwat, Senior Programme Planner; and Ms. Haneen Fouad, Programme Planner. On behalf of the Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation for Charitable Medical Work, attendees included Ms. Ola Ismail, Chair of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Ismail Badran, Medical Director and Treasurer; Ms. Sally Bitar, Business Development Manager; and Ms. Noha Gamal, Healthcare Programmes Manager.

Under the agreement, the CIB Egypt Foundation will support 48 medical convoys in the Sharqia, Dakahlia and Ismailia governorates, targeting nearly 120,000 children, and will fund the operating costs of the dental clinic, helping provide a range of health services that meet children's needs in the target communities.

The project covers a range of medical specialties and services, including paediatrics, orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, and ophthalmology and eye surgery, as well as nutrition services to monitor children's weight, height and growth and development indicators. Cases requiring interventions or surgery are referred to specialised providers. The project also supports continued healthcare delivery in the Fayoum, Beni Suef, Giza, Minya and Aswan governorates through fixed clinics equipped with telemedicine devices and technology.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Mona Hosny, Director of the CIB Egypt Foundation, said: "Renewing our partnership with the Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the health of the neediest children and providing the healthcare services that help them grow up healthy. Through the Le Masr Initiative, we focus our efforts on programmes that respond to the real needs of target communities, helping expand the reach of medical services and ensure continuity of care and follow-up."

She added: "The fifth round extends a partnership that dates back to 2019. Through it, we aim to strengthen the impact of the medical convoys while supporting dental services and fixed clinics equipped with telemedicine technology. We believe that working with specialised organisations helps channel support to the areas most in need and achieve a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families."

For her part, Ms. Ola Ismail, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation for Charitable Medical Work, said: "We value our continued partnership with the CIB Egypt Foundation, which supports our ability to reach the children and families most in need and provide excellent, child-centred medical care. The fifth round allows us to continue working in new governorates through medical convoys, while supporting the continuity of services in the governorates we serve through fixed clinics."

She added: "We are committed to providing care tailored to children's needs, including medical check-ups and monitoring of nutrition, growth and development. Supporting fixed clinics and using telemedicine technology strengthens follow-up and medical communication, supporting continuity of care for children in the target communities."

Over four previous rounds since 2019, the CIB Egypt Foundation has funded medical convoys run by the Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation that examined about 300,000 children, with total funding of about EGP 50 million, under the Le Masr Initiative.

Through this partnership, the CIB Egypt Foundation continues to support access to healthcare for the neediest children and to deepen its cooperation with specialised organisations to expand and sustain medical services, helping improve children's health and support their families across the target governorates.
