The Cabinet's Media Centre said the economic and social development plan for fiscal year 2026/2027 targets economic growth of 5.4%, with total investment of up to EGP 3.7 trillion, about 59% of which is expected to come from the private sector.
The centre said Egypt aims to build on improving economic indicators and continue its recovery by boosting productive activity and expanding the private sector's role in investment, strengthening the economy's ability to achieve sustainable growth and create more jobs.
The plan's targets include increasing productive investment, strengthening industrial capacity and raising manufacturing's contribution to economic activity, as well as broadening the productive base and enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.
