The economic review published on the Central Bank of Egypt's (CBE) website showed that the number of mobile wallet accounts reached 58.7 million at the end of September 2025.

According to the review's data, the total number of transactions carried out through mobile wallets came to about 801 million between July 1 and September 30, 2025, with an estimated value of around EGP 1.1 trillion.

On electronic collection services, the number of QR codes and request-to-pay (R2P) requests issued and used on mobile wallets reached about 933,000 by the end of September 2025.

These tools allow payments and electronic collections to be made using mobile wallets, whether through apps and websites or at retail outlets.
