Housing & Development Bank – HDB offers a range of prepaid cards that give customers varied benefits, designed to meet their needs and simplify their financial transactions. They include the Flousy card, the government payroll card and the Teachers' Syndicate pension card.

Prepaid card benefits

  • Easy issuance with no bank account: prepaid cards can be issued without opening a bank account and used to pay for services and make everyday purchases.

  • Free cards for some segments: some cards, such as payroll and pension cards, are issued free of charge with no issuance or renewal fees.

  • Easy cash withdrawal: withdraw cash from Housing & Development Bank ATMs or any other ATM in Egypt.

  • Part of the Meeza network: prepaid cards run on the Meeza network and can be used at shops, point-of-sale terminals (POS) and ATMs across the country.

  • Multiple payment uses: the cards can be used for in-store purchases, e-payments, and government and private payments online or through point-of-sale terminals (POS).

  • Contactless payment: the cards support contactless payment for small everyday purchases by tapping the card on the payment terminal.

  • Security and protection: the cards have a smart chip and support secure online shopping (3D Secure), as well as one-time passwords (OTP).

  • Mini statement: a mini statement for the card can be printed at the bank's ATMs.

Types of prepaid cards

  • Flousy card: available to customers for paying all kinds of government and private services.

  • Government payroll card: for government employees to receive their monthly salaries directly from their employer.

  • Teachers' Syndicate pension card: for retired teachers to receive their entitlements every 3 months.

Balance and transaction tracking

  • Card balances and transactions can be checked at the bank's ATMs, and a text message (SMS) is sent after every financial transaction made with the card.

Top-ups and transfers

  • The cards can be topped up with amounts that suit everyday needs and can receive transfers directly from the issuing entity with no additional procedures.
