Commercial International Bank (CIB) Egypt has launched CIB SHARE Visa credit cards, which let customers earn SHARE points on their purchases, with rewards of up to 8% on spending within the Majid Al Futtaim ecosystem, plus points on other local and international purchases.

CIB SHARE Visa credit cards come in three tiers, Rewards, Platinum and Signature, with reward rates, monthly points caps and benefits varying by card type. Cardholders can also earn welcome points of up to 50,000 SHARE points, equivalent to EGP 5,000, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

CIB SHARE Visa credit card details

CIB SHARE Visa cards earn customers SHARE points on every purchase, with the reward rate varying by card tier.

SHARE Rewards card

  • Earn 4% in SHARE points on spending within the Majid Al Futtaim ecosystem.

  • Earn 0.25% on all other purchases locally and internationally.

  • Monthly cap of up to 15,000 SHARE points, equivalent to EGP 1,500.

SHARE Platinum card

  • Earn 6% in SHARE points on spending within the Majid Al Futtaim ecosystem.

  • Earn 0.5% on all other purchases locally and internationally.

  • Monthly cap of up to 30,000 SHARE points, equivalent to EGP 3,000.

SHARE Signature card

  • Earn 8% in SHARE points on spending within the Majid Al Futtaim ecosystem.

  • Earn 1% on all other purchases locally and internationally.

  • Monthly cap of up to 80,000 SHARE points, equivalent to EGP 8,000.

The Majid Al Futtaim ecosystem includes Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Maadi, City Centre Alexandria, Carrefour, VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet and Ski Egypt.

Cardholders also earn an extra 0.5% when spending at Carrefour and an extra 3% at VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet and Ski Egypt, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Rewards are calculated in SHARE points, with every 10 SHARE points worth EGP 1.

Welcome SHARE points

The bank offers CIB SHARE Visa credit cardholders welcome points of up to 50,000 SHARE points, equivalent to EGP 5,000, depending on the card type and subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Redeeming SHARE points

CIB SHARE Visa cardholders can use and redeem their SHARE points in several ways, including:

  • Using their SHARE ID by scanning the barcode in the SHARE app at participating stores.

  • Redeeming points for gift cards at customer service desks in Majid Al Futtaim shopping malls.

  • Buying e-vouchers through the SHARE app.

  • Using points at more than 800 stores in Mall of Egypt, City Centre malls, Carrefour, VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet and Ski Egypt.

The SHARE programme

The SHARE programme gives customers access to a range of rewards, offers and experiences across a number of Majid Al Futtaim brands and destinations through the SHARE app.

The programme covers Mall of Egypt, City Centre Almaza, City Centre Maadi, City Centre Alexandria, Carrefour, VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet and Ski Egypt, as well as partners and participating stores at Majid Al Futtaim destinations.

The SHARE app also lets members track their points and use them for purchases, as well as access the offers and benefits available to programme members.
