Banky's view:

USD deposits making up more than a quarter of Suez Canal Bank's deposit portfolio at the end of the first half of 2026 reflects the strength of the bank's foreign-currency deposit base, giving it greater flexibility to meet the needs of corporate and individual customers engaged in foreign trade and international transactions.

The strong 14.3% growth in total deposits over the first 6 months of the year also points to the bank's success in building customer confidence and attracting new liquidity, supported by a diversified deposit mix across Egyptian pounds and foreign currencies. EGP deposits remain the main driver of the portfolio, holding the largest share, which strengthens the stability of the bank's funding sources and gives it more room to expand its lending in the coming periods.
