Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Egypt's credit card portfolio continued to post strong growth in the first half of 2026, supported by the expansion of retail banking services and customers' increasing use of electronic payments.

The bank's financial statements show the credit card balance rising to EGP 370.48 million at the end of June 2026, from EGP 281.20 million at the end of December 2025, an increase of EGP 89.28 million in 6 months.

The credit card portfolio thus grew by 31.7% in the first half of the year, one of the highest growth rates among the components of the bank's retail financing.

According to the financial statements, the bank's total retail financing rose to EGP 14.43 billion at the end of June 2026, from EGP 9.88 billion at the end of December 2025, growth of about 46.1% over the period.

The performance also coincides with the strong financial results the bank achieved in the first half of 2026, when it posted a net profit of EGP 2.1 billion, up 19.2% year on year, reflecting continued growth across its business lines.

Banky's view:

The strong growth in the credit card portfolio reflects KFH Egypt's push to strengthen its retail banking business and diversify its financing products for individuals, alongside the expansion of installment programs and credit card offers, which supports greater use of cards for financing and everyday spending.
