The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced the listing of Banque du Caire shares on the medium-activity market, which includes securities whose traders are permitted to use same-session trading mechanisms, to trade securities on the day after purchase (T+1) and to buy securities on margin, with the securities accepted as collateral for up to 80% of their market value.
In a statement, the exchange said trading in Banque du Caire shares will begin from the trading session of Monday 02/11/2026, with the stock's opening price (reference price) set at the public and private offering price of EGP 5.30 per share.
The exchange explained that on the first trading day the stock's upper and lower price limits will be double the price limits of the market on which it is listed (40%), with circuit-breaker (temporary suspension) mechanisms not applied, until the end of the trading session in which a new closing price is recorded. From the following trading session, the stock's price limits will be those applied on its listing market.
On the price stabilisation mechanism for the public offering in the post-offering market, the exchange said the special transactions market (OPR) will be opened for 30 calendar days, from 2/11/2026 to 1/12/2026. During this period, the offering manager is obliged to register an open buy order at the offering price, and only shareholders who bought in the public offering and wish to sell may register sell orders, up to the number of shares allocated to them in the public offering. Shares offered for sale must have been bought through the public offering on its execution date on the exchange and held since then, or be what remains of them. Brokerage firms are prohibited from registering sell orders until they have verified this against the client's balance statement and account activity statement from Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR).
The exchange noted that sell orders for shares bought on the open market will not be accepted. Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry will match the orders registered on the special transactions market against the conditions in this clause and notify the Egyptian Exchange of any non-compliant orders; the exchange will then cancel them or allow brokerage firms to cancel them within a time it sets. At the end of the period, all valid registered sell orders that meet the conditions in this clause will be executed. In case of non-compliance, the exchange may take whatever measures it deems appropriate against violators.
