The Academy of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has announced that it has completed the technical integration of the payment gateway of the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) with its learning platform, allowing learners in participating African markets to pay fees for selected programs in their local currencies.

The move aims to widen access to trade-related learning programs by reducing reliance on payment in foreign currencies and making it easier to pay through financial institutions that participate in the system.

Allowing payment in local currencies is expected to help eligible learners overcome some of the obstacles involved in obtaining foreign currency and using international payment channels, supporting the spread of the Academy's programs across participating African markets.
