The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) has announced that it has handed out cash prizes to the winners of its "Summer 2026" credit and debit card promotional campaign. The campaign, which the bank ran during July and August 2026, offered a chance to win cash prizes of up to EGP 600,000, and aimed to encourage customers to use the bank's cards more for purchases in Egypt and abroad.

Karim Sous, Chief Retail Banking Officer at NBE, said that awarding the prizes reflects the bank's commitment to recognizing its customers and rewarding them for using their bank cards. He noted that the campaign drew strong customer engagement, reflecting growing reliance on electronic payments in everyday transactions. He added that the bank continues to roll out innovative initiatives and promotional campaigns that add real value for customers, alongside its efforts to support digital transformation and financial inclusion and to deliver an easier and safer banking experience.

Hala Helmy, Head of Products and Financial Inclusion Group at NBE, said the campaign gave the bank's credit and debit cardholders the chance to win cash prizes by using their cards for purchases during the campaign period. She explained that winners were selected through random draws in accordance with the campaign's terms and conditions and under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. She added that the bank is keen to keep developing its programs and campaigns to encourage customers to use their bank cards more and benefit from the services and features on offer, helping spread a culture of electronic payments and promote financial inclusion.

Helmy said the campaign selected 60 winners over July and August 2026, 30 each month, of whom 15 were credit cardholders and 15 were debit cardholders, through random draws held in accordance with the campaign's terms and conditions and under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
