Doha Bank announced it has successfully priced a USD 500 million issue of unsecured bonds with a five-year tenor and a 6.25% yield, under its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme.
The bank said the issue attracted strong investor demand, with orders reaching about USD 1.7 billion, more than three times the target size. This helped tighten the pricing spread to 140 basis points over US Treasuries, from an initial 170 basis points.
According to the statement, regional investors took more than 70% of the total allocation, while investors from Europe and Asia accounted for more than 45%.
The issue follows approval by the bank's general assembly in April 2026 to raise the ceiling of its EMTN programme from USD 3 billion to USD 4.25 billion, making it the bank's first issue since the increase was approved.
On the financial side, Doha Bank's net profit fell 8.65% in the first nine months of 2026 to QAR 681 million compared with the same period a year earlier, as total expenses and impairment provisions rose to QAR 1.31 billion.
