Ahli Bank Qatar's profit fell 1.6% year on year in the third quarter of 2026 to QAR 269.4 million, compared with the same period last year. Earnings were weighed down by a 127% rise in provisions for loans and advances to QAR 36.4 million, and by its securities portfolio swinging to a loss of QAR 21.8 million from a profit of QAR 9.5 million in the third quarter of 2025.
For the first nine months of the year, the bank's profit rose slightly year on year to QAR 676.8 million. Growth was supported by an 8.5% increase in net interest income to about QAR 1.1 billion and a 5.9% decline in loan provisions to QAR 229 million, while securities portfolio losses of QAR 15.4 million limited the gain.
On the balance sheet, Ahli Bank Qatar's assets rose 2.7% year on year to QAR 64.3 billion at the end of September 2026, driven by 13% growth in its loans and advances portfolio to QAR 43.1 billion. Customer deposits rose 1.7% to QAR 35.9 billion.
