Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting today to review the themes of the economic track, as well as the National Economic Transformation Programme due to be presented, as part of ongoing preparations for the "Egypt Forum 2026", which was commissioned by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Ahmed Rostom.

Opening the meeting, Madbouly stressed that the economic track is a core pillar of the "Egypt Forum 2026". He noted that the National Economic Transformation Programme aims to build on the gains and reforms achieved so far and to lay the foundations of a resilient economy able to sustain growth and withstand change. He added that the government is keen for the forum's sessions to present an integrated, transparent vision that sets out future directions clearly to citizens, the business community and the private sector, as partners in production and comprehensive development.

The meeting reviewed the themes and working papers of the economic track and the National Economic Transformation Programme to be presented during the forum's sessions. These reflect the joint efforts of the various ministries and relevant bodies to strengthen consistency between fiscal and monetary policy, support the role of the private sector, improve the investment climate and nurture small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship, with the goal of building a more productive and competitive economy.

The meeting also covered the government's measures to maximise the economic return on assets and infrastructure in the targeted sectors, and reviewed the current position and future plans through 2030 to raise the quality of services provided to citizens in health, education and housing and to strengthen social protection, helping to raise living standards and achieve the goals of comprehensive development.
