Islam Zekry, Group CFO and Executive Board Member at Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB), shared details of his visit to several of the bank's branches in Alexandria this week, stressing the importance of direct contact with teams and listening to their ideas and the challenges they face.

Zekry said the visit went beyond discussing figures, performance and strategic priorities, offering an opportunity for dialogue with colleagues about their experiences and aspirations. He noted that CIB's strength comes from its people, alongside its financial position, technology and market standing.

The meetings covered the bank's current position, its future ambitions and what it will take to achieve them, as well as building a workplace where everyone feels valued, ideas receive attention, and every employee understands their role in shaping the bank's future.

Zekry stressed that leadership does not mean having all the answers; it requires staying close to teams to ask the right questions. He thanked his colleagues in Alexandria for their warm welcome, candour and commitment, affirming that the bank's strategy will chart its future while its people build it.
