Interior Ministry security agencies are continuing to step up efforts to combat illegal foreign currency trading and speculation on exchange rates, pursuing those involved in hiding foreign currency or trading it outside the legal framework and official banking channels. The campaign aims to preserve the stability of the currency market and support the state's efforts to protect the national economy from practices that could harm currency flows and price stability.

Over the past 24 hours, the Public Security Sector, in coordination with the General Administration for Combating Public Funds Crimes and security directorates across the governorates, seized a number of cases of illegal trading in various foreign currencies with a total value of nearly EGP 5 million.

The necessary legal measures were taken against the suspects, while security agencies continue their intensive campaigns to pursue and arrest those involved in illegal foreign currency trading, as part of ongoing efforts to enforce discipline in the financial market.
