The Central Bank of the UAE, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the UAE Banks Federation, is hosting the UAE Banks Annual Reception 2026 on Thursday, 15 October, in the Thai capital Bangkok, during the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.

The reception will be attended by Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE; Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; and H.E. Abdulaziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of the UAE Banks Federation, alongside a select group of central bank governors, financial policymakers, chief executives of banks operating in the UAE, and leaders of international financial and banking institutions.

The reception reflects the pivotal role the UAE Central Bank plays in strengthening ties with international financial institutions, expanding cross-border partnerships and opening new avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise and views among global financial and banking leaders. This supports the competitiveness of the UAE's financial and banking sector, strengthens its international presence and cements the UAE's position as a leading global financial centre.
