Eng. Ibrahim Mekky, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, met on Sunday with a delegation from the Agricultural Bank of Egypt (ABE) led by Fayza Ahmed, Chief Executive of Branches. They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and make use of banking initiatives to support farmers, and to provide the financing needed to develop agricultural production and expand projects in agriculture, livestock and poultry, supporting sustainable development and creating jobs for young people. The meeting was attended by Dr. Amr El-Beshbishy, Deputy Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh; accountant Mounir Ragab, head of the Kafr El-Sheikh sector; Bishoy Adel, Deputy General Manager of Business; and Hazem El-Naggar, head of technical and logistics support.

The meeting covered ways to develop agricultural services and finance, and to support digital transformation, training and awareness for farmers. It also discussed strengthening ABE's efforts to support the families most in need and other eligible groups, and widening social initiatives that aim to ease the cost of living for citizens and extend the social protection umbrella in the governorate.

The governor stressed the importance of expanding cooperation with ABE, given that Kafr El-Sheikh is one of Egypt's leading agricultural governorates and a major producer of a wide range of crops. He underlined the need to make the most of financing and investment initiatives to support farmers and develop agricultural and productive projects, alongside supporting the families most in need, in order to boost economic and social development and raise living standards.
