The Agricultural Bank of Egypt (ABE) has launched a new promotional campaign encouraging customers to shop online and pay with ABE credit cards from October until the end of November. Credit cardholders get 10% cashback on every online purchase, with a minimum of EGP 1,000 per transaction and a maximum total cashback of EGP 5,000 per customer over the campaign period.

The campaign is part of ABE's drive to promote digital payments and encourage customers to enjoy online shopping and rely on electronic payment methods for their transactions, while offering direct, tangible financial benefits on eligible transactions during the campaign period.

Commenting on the campaign, Mohamed Souissi, head of retail banking at ABE, said that improving the customer experience is a core pillar of the bank's retail banking and digital services strategy, delivered through solutions and initiatives tailored to customers' needs and transaction patterns. He noted that the new cashback campaign aims to encourage credit cardholders to use their cards more for e-commerce transactions while earning a direct financial benefit on eligible transactions.

Souissi added that the bank aims to build an integrated ecosystem of banking services and benefits that strengthens customers' relationship with the bank and meets the needs of different customer segments more flexibly and effectively. He explained that running the campaign through October and November gives the bank's credit cardholders ample opportunity to use the offer on many transactions and use the cashback to save on part of their shopping expenses.

The campaign covers all types of ABE Visa and Mastercard credit cards: Visa Gold, Visa Platinum, Mastercard Titanium and Mastercard Platinum. It is open to cardholders who are bank customers as well as bank employees. Eligible transactions are limited to e-commerce purchases; entitlement is calculated on eligible transactions made by the cardholder during the campaign period, and the cashback will be paid in December 2026, in accordance with the campaign's terms and conditions.
