The United Bank organized a volunteer visit to Al Nas Hospital, attended by Tarek Fayed, CEO and Managing Director of The United Bank. He was received by Ayman Abbas, treasurer and board member of Al Nas Hospital, and Hatem El Molla, the hospital's executive director. The visit coincided with World Heart Day, marked on 29 September each year.
The visit was attended by a number of The United Bank's senior executives, including Hossam Abdel Aal, head of corporate credit; Gihan Abou Hussein, head of sustainable social responsibility; and Sherif Medhat, head of corporate communications.
The visit builds on the ties of cooperation between The United Bank and Al Nas Hospital, which have recently included several forms of support, most recently contributing to the treatment of cases requiring cardiac catheterization, therapeutic endoscopy and surgical intervention for children and adults with heart, digestive and chronic diseases, as part of the bank's commitment to supporting the health sector and strengthening its role in serving the community.
During the visit, Fayed expressed his appreciation for Al Nas Hospital's role and the medical services and care it provides, stressing the importance of continued cooperation between banking and medical institutions to support healthcare efforts and strengthen community participation.
"I was pleased to visit Al Nas Hospital, a medical institution that offers an outstanding model of healthcare and community service," Fayed said. "I would like to express my appreciation to the hospital's management and all its medical and administrative staff for their continuous efforts to serve patients, especially children."
He added: "The United Bank is keen to support the health sector and contribute to efforts to improve the services provided to patients. In this spirit, we supported Al Nas Hospital to help treat children and adults with digestive diseases. We are committed to continuing our cooperation with the hospital in support of its humanitarian mission and to achieve a positive, lasting impact on society."
For his part, Ayman Abbas, treasurer and board member of Al Nas Hospital, welcomed the visit of Tarek Fayed, CEO and Managing Director of The United Bank, and his accompanying delegation, stressing that partnerships with national institutions are a key pillar in supporting the hospital's mission and its continued provision of free medical services.
"We value the visit of Mr. Tarek Fayed and The United Bank's leadership to Al Nas Hospital, and we are proud of our ongoing cooperation with the bank and its support for the hospital's mission," Eng. Ayman Abbas said. "These partnerships reflect an important model of integration between state institutions, the private sector and healthcare institutions to make a real and lasting difference in patients' lives."
He added: "Every contribution that institutions and companies make to Al Nas Hospital becomes a medical service that benefits a patient in need of treatment. Continued partnerships with supporting institutions are therefore essential to our ability to reach more patients and provide them with the medical care they need, especially children."
He affirmed that Al Nas Hospital appreciates The United Bank's role in supporting the health sector and contributing to patients' treatment, noting that the cooperation between the two sides reflects the importance of social responsibility in supporting efforts to develop Egypt's healthcare system.
The visit coincides with World Heart Day, marked on 29 September each year, an occasion to raise awareness of the importance of heart health and the prevention of cardiovascular disease, and to encourage individuals and communities to look after their health and adopt healthy lifestyles.
At the end of the visit, The United Bank affirmed its commitment to continuing its cooperation with health and community institutions in support of healthcare efforts and a culture of community participation and volunteering.
