The total value of outgoing and incoming instant transfers through the Instant Payment Network (IPN) and the InstaPay app at National Bank of Egypt (NBE) reached about EGP 2.87 trillion in 2025, compared with EGP 1.5 trillion in 2024, an increase of about 91%.

The total number of instant transfers reached about 717 million in 2025, compared with about 333 million the previous year, an increase of about 384 million transactions and a growth rate of nearly 115%, reflecting customers' wider use of instant transfer services.

The performance reflects NBE's strategy of prioritizing the best services for its customers, continuing to advance financial inclusion and strengthen digital banking, and reducing crowding in its branches.

The bank continued to develop its digital channels and expand the base of users of its electronic services, allowing customers to carry out their banking transactions easily and supporting wider use of digital channels for their daily needs.

The growth in the number and value of transactions reflects increasing reliance on instant transfers among the bank's banking services, as part of its efforts to improve the customer experience and promote the use of electronic services.
