Four Egyptian banks made the list of the World's Best-Performing Banks 2026, published by Forbes in partnership with Statista. The ranking covered 500 banks from 89 countries and reflects the performance of banking institutions across global markets.

The list included National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Commercial International Bank (CIB), Arab African International Bank (AAIB) and Suez Canal Bank, making Egypt one of the strongest banking presences in Africa. NBE ranked 36th worldwide in the large-banks category.

This showing reflects the Egyptian banking sector's efforts to strengthen financial stability, develop banking services, accelerate digital transformation, broaden financial inclusion and raise efficiency and competitiveness, supporting Egyptian banks' ability to feature in international rankings.
