To mark the International Day of Older Persons, Nasser Social Bank, chaired by Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, announced a package of banking benefits and services designed for senior citizens. The bank said the move reflects its commitment to meeting their needs and helping them make the most of the banking services and products available to them.
Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, said that as part of these benefits, senior citizens will be exempt from administrative fees and account-opening fees on all of the bank's transactions throughout October. The aim is to ease the costs of accessing banking services and make it simpler for them to deal with the bank and use its full range of products and services, in recognition of their contributions and active role in society.
Dr. Morsy added that the bank will also launch the «Rad El Gamil certificate» with attractive returns, as part of its effort to offer banking products suited to the needs of older people and to provide benefits and facilities that reflect its care for this group and its appreciation of their contributions over many years.
She said the certificate is part of Nasser Social Bank's drive to develop its banking products, giving customers a range of alternatives to suit their needs in terms of both tenor and payout frequency. This gives senior citizens greater flexibility in using their savings and receiving a regular return in line with their financial needs.
Walid El Nahas, Vice Chairman of Nasser Social Bank, said the bank is keen to affirm its social role by offering banking products and services that take into account the needs of all segments of society, with particular attention to senior citizens as a priority group. It does so by providing banking solutions that help them manage their savings and benefit from them in line with their financial needs.
El Nahas said the launch of the «Rad El Gamil certificate» reflects this approach, as it offers a variety of options in terms of tenor and payout frequency. This gives senior citizens greater flexibility to choose what suits their needs and to use their savings in a way that better fits their circumstances.
El Nahas noted that the «Rad El Gamil certificate» comes with several options. The 1-year certificate pays an interest rate of 16.50% with monthly payout and 17.50% with annual payout, allowing customers to receive the return at the frequency that best suits their needs.
The bank also offers the certificate for 3 years, at 16.75% with monthly payout and 18.25% with annual payout. The certificate starts at EGP 1,000 and multiples thereof, up to a maximum of EGP 2 million, giving customers who want to keep their savings for longer a range of options and an attractive return.
