Hala Hatem Sadek leads Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Egypt as Chief Executive Officer, board member and member of the risk committee, drawing on more than 35 years of banking experience in Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa. She also sits on the board of the Federation of Egyptian Banks.
From Credit Risk Management to Executive Leadership
Sadek began her career at Commercial International Bank (CIB) in 1989 and rose through its ranks until 2006. Her most prominent role there was head of the credit and investment risk management group, before she moved to Ahli United Bank – Egypt, where she led teams at both local and regional level. Her career has combined credit expertise, risk management and executive leadership.
Her professional footprint extended to board membership of the United Bank for Commerce and Investment in Libya, in addition to her seat on the bank's board in Egypt. She was elected to the board of the Federation of Egyptian Banks in July 2022. Sadek holds a bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Cairo University.
Leading the Shift to Islamic Banking
The rebranding of Ahli United Bank – Egypt as Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Egypt was a milestone of her tenure. The transformation came as part of the KFH Group's expansion in the Egyptian market, with the bank offering its services and products in line with Islamic Sharia principles. In January 2025, the bank's change of name was officially recorded in the commercial register.
This phase included developing products and service channels and strengthening the bank's market presence; it now serves customers through a network of 45 branches across the country. Sadek has placed digital transformation and upgrading the bank's technology infrastructure at the heart of its plans to improve the customer experience.

Visa Partnership and Payments Development
In October 2025, KFH Egypt signed a strategic partnership agreement with Visa, attended by Hala Sadek, to develop its card portfolio and digital payment services. Areas of cooperation include launching new cards and payment solutions and developing loyalty programs, supporting the bank's expansion in retail banking.
