An Acquisition Deal to Expand Retail Banking
His tenure saw a major strategic step on 2 August 2026, when Emirates NBD Egypt signed final agreements to acquire the retail banking business of HSBC Egypt.
The deal covers the retail portfolio, the associated branch and ATM network, and the relevant customers and staff, with the aim of expanding the bank's presence and strengthening its retail services in the Egyptian market.
