What happens to the loan after the borrower dies?

The loan does not automatically disappear upon the borrower's death.

The bank reviews the balance, the contract, and any associated insurance or guarantees, then determines what is covered and what remains with the estate.

Request a written statement before making any payment in the heirs' name.
