Is it possible to break part of the certificate?

The possibility of redeeming a certificate depends on how it was issued.

Steps

1. If you have several separate certificates of small value, you might be able to redeem one and leave the rest.

2. However, a single certificate of a large value might not allow for partial redemption.

3. Ask your bank about the minimum issuance unit and whether redemption is partial or full before you tie up all your funds in one certificate.
