مش عارف هحتاج قد إيه ولا إمتى، بس مش عايز أسيب الفلوس نايمة.

When you may need part of the money, the key is not to treat the whole amount as available to lock. There are three ways to handle this, and they differ in liquidity, term and the timing of the payout: first, keep part in a savings account you can withdraw from at any time and put the rest in a deposit or certificate with a term; the liquid part may earn less. Second, lock the whole amount and, if you need cash, take a loan or overdraft against the certificate or deposit instead of breaking it; the pledged product stays held until the loan is repaid, even after maturity, and the loan has its own cost in its terms. Third, spread the amount over more than one term so that part matures early. In every case, breaking early usually lowers the return for the period already held, and is sometimes not allowed in the first months. Start by estimating how much you might need and roughly when, because that decides the shape of the split. Check the key-facts statement for the break terms, partial breaking and borrowing against the product.
