Because the right answer changes with one or two things only you know. The most important: when you might need the money, or part of it. If you might need it within months, locking all of it for a long term can cost you an early-break penalty, and sometimes you get back less than the original amount. If you will not need it for several years, other products and terms come into play. The term decides which products exist and what they pay, so there is no single 'right place' for money without it. A second, less important question follows: do you need the return paid to you periodically as income, or at the end? That sets the payout schedule, and each schedule has its own rate. If you are in a hurry, answer only the first question, even roughly ('in under a year', 'not before 3 years'), and that is enough to start a real comparison at your amount. Before locking anything, ask for the product's key-facts statement and check the term and the early-break terms.
