The IBAN is a unified international standard format for your bank account number that allows electronic systems to read it accurately and without errors during transfers. In Egypt it consists of 29 letters and digits (starting with EG). The IBAN does not cancel your internal account number; it is simply an international mask for it that makes local and international transfers easier without delay.
