Sukuk are the Sharia-compliant alternative to savings certificates. They represent an undivided share in income-generating assets or projects managed by the bank.

The return is paid on account (credited to the current account) on a periodic basis, based on the expected profit projections, and at the end of the financial year a final settlement is made (the actual reconciliation) and the return is adjusted according to the profits actually achieved.
