عندي شهادة قديمة وسمعت إن الأسعار اتغيرت.
The Central Bank sets monetary-policy rates (such as the overnight deposit and lending rates), but the rate of any certificate or deposit is set by the bank itself. So whether a decision affects your certificate depends on its rate type.
If the return is fixed, even if stepped down each year on a schedule, the rates are contractual until maturity and the decision does not change them.
If the return is variable, the rate is a reference rate plus the bank's margin. When the reference changes, the new rate applies after the current payout period's return is credited, not from the day of the decision. If the reference falls the return falls, and if it rises the return rises.
At Islamic banks the published figure is an expected profit settled on actual results, so it can also differ.
Find your certificate's rate type in its key-facts statement: the rate-type field, and for a variable rate, the reference rate and the margin.
