Is the disappearance of the contract from the application something I need to be aware of?

Yes.

The electronic contract is a document you should be able to refer back to even if it disappears from the app interface.

Request a final copy from the bank in a saveable format, and keep the transaction statement or number and any associated approvals.

A screenshot is helpful as supporting evidence, but it's not a substitute for the official contract copy.
