The data showed that six main groups recorded price increases, led by the miscellaneous goods and services group, which jumped by 12.57%, followed by the clothing and footwear group, which rose by 2.93%.

Conversely, prices declined in five main groups, most notably the restaurants and hotels group, which fell by 1.48%, followed by the transportation group, which dropped by 1.12% compared to the same month last year.

This rise in the overall consumer price index reflects continued inflationary pressures in certain service and consumer sectors, despite a relative decline in others such as transport and hospitality.
