Central Bank: Reserve Money Rises to EGP 2.516 Trillion by End of July 2025



Data released by the Central Bank of Egypt revealed an increase in reserve money (MO), which reached EGP 2.516 trillion by the end of July 2025, compared to EGP 2.32 trillion by the end of June 2025.
Currency in circulation outside the Central Bank’s vaults recorded EGP 1.516 trillion at the end of July, compared to EGP 1.507 trillion previously.
Local currency deposits of banks also rose to EGP 999.95 billion by the end of July 2025, compared to EGP 813.817 billion at the end of June.
In addition, the Central Bank’s net foreign assets increased to about $10.491 billion (equivalent to EGP 511.211 billion) by the end of July, compared to $10.1 billion (equivalent to EGP 499.628 billion) at the end of June 2025.
