NTI Achieves Breakthrough in Developing Digital Skills, Supporting Labor Market in 2025

In 2025, the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) achieved a remarkable breakthrough in building digital capacities, developing talents, and supporting the needs of the local and regional labor market.   Throughout the year, the Institute successfully implemented an integrated system of training, educational, and awareness programs, contributing to the graduation and qualification of digital talents. These efforts were supported by a robust institutional infrastructure in Nasr City and Smart Village, alongside a nationwide training network of more than 24 Creativa Innovation Hubs, most notably the Hub at Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.   As part of aligning training programs with labor market needs, over 1,742 participants were trained in 2025 through the four-month “Digital Egypt Youth – HireReady” Initiative, achieving an employment rate exceeding 87% through strategic partnerships with more than 85 local and international companies. Furthermore, NTI introduced the six-month “Digital Egypt Youth – CIT Career Launch” Initiative, benefiting 216 participants across specialized technical tracks, while the Wazeefa-Tech Initiative qualified 87 trainees with a 100% employment rate.   Supporting the state’s direction toward the digital economy and freelancing, NTI implemented the “Digital Egypt Youth at Creativa Innovation Hubs – i-Lance Program,” training over 6,551 participants and achieving a success rate exceeding 73.4% in enabling them to secure freelancing opportunities and implement real-world projects during the training period. The Institute also prioritized building digital capacities among adolescents and youth through the Cybersecurity Superhero Academy for Juniors and Youth, which qualified over 5,016 participants across 15 governorates nationwide through its three editions.   More than 10,299 university and institute students across different governorates graduated from the 2025 Summer Internships Program, implemented in collaboration with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) across over 27 advanced training tracks. In addition, 1,024 students benefited from specialized summer courses, and 2,476 new participants graduated from the Capacity Building initiative.   Through international accreditation and partnerships, the Institute offered certified training programs by leading multinationals, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cisco, IBM, Huawei, Red Hat, VMware, Fortinet, and Avaya. In 2025, around 3,167 participants were trained through the Egyptian Talents Academy (ETA), in addition to 916 participants enrolled in the Fiber Optic Technology Academy.   Supporting the digital transformation within the state’s administrative apparatus, nearly 9,995 employees benefited from capacity-building programs, including 9,354 female beneficiaries within the Digital Female Pioneers Initiative, while 7,262 participants graduated from the AI Ambassadors Program.   Academically and institutionally, the Institute achieved a major milestone by accrediting six equivalent diploma specializations in critical fields, including telecom networks, technological infrastructure, cybersecurity, embedded systems, AI, data science, and AI-based software development. Moreover, 72 students enrolled in postgraduate diplomas, while 487 participants joined the Digilians initiative.   NTI relies on advanced infrastructure that includes specialized labs for mobile generations, fiber optics, data networks, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and electronic circuit manufacturing, providing a comprehensive training and research environment. Supporting the indigenization of electronics manufacturing, the Institute produced 2,600 printed circuit boards (PCBs) in its specialized labs to support student projects, research activities, and companies, alongside applied research activities, including monitoring 1,930 cell towers for the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to verify compliance with Egyptian standards.    In light of these integrated efforts, the total number of beneficiaries from the Institute’s programs and initiatives in 2025 reached approximately 49,310, highlighting its position as a key pillar in building digital capacities, driving digital transformation, and strengthening the regional and global competitiveness of Egyptian talents. These accomplishments reflect NTI’s pivotal role as a training and research arm of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), with more than 42 years of experience as a center of excellence in training, research, and development.
